La creación híbrida en videodanza · Book collection

La creación híbrida en videodanza / The hybrid creation in screedance is the first printed publication about screendance in Mexico, compiled by Ximena Monroy Rocha and Paulina Ruiz Carballido and coordinated by Agite y Sirva Screendance Touring Festival, in collaboration with the Universidad de las Américas Puebla - UDLAP. This publication is a compiled collection of essays, texts and photographic material in 5 volumes, based on the activities of reflection, production, teaching, curatorship and criticism that have been carried out during the first 11 editions of the Festival since 2009. The editorial design was done by Tatiana Vázquez and the cover illustration by the artist Marisol Monroy Rocha.

This project has been supported by UDLAP, PECDA Oaxaca 2012-2013, the National Dance Coordination from INBA, and the Coinversiones Program from FONCA 2014-2015 and 2017-2018.

The book collection consists of five volumes, with a total of 34 essays and texts by 33 authors from 8 countries in America and Europe, which are framed within the following lines of research: 1. Historical memory of screendance (2015), 2. Screendance: hybrid creation (2017), 3. The body in screendance (2018), 4. Curating screendance (2019), and 5. Pedagogy in screendance (2020).
