Strophe. A man’s existence
Aimée Duchamp - Aladino Blanca | 4 min | Mexico - Spain | 2015 This is how routine affects us; absorbs us from the inside until we get consumed by it and get comfortable with repetitive patterns and accept changes along the way. A modern poetic internal monologue inspired by the Greek playwrights Euripides and Sophocles, the British philosopher Alan Watts and the American writer Henry Miller. |
Contrivance
Cyntia Botello-Fergus Byrne | 7 min | Mexico-Sweden | 2016 Seven prongs rest on fine points on the ground. The smooth floor of the concrete chamber is only softened by the residual mats of chip not collected by the pincing prongs. Along this strip of rich smelling wood four legs walk against sunlit wall, profile view with incline of the horizontal. |
Ausencias
José Arteaga - Marién Luévano | 5 min | Mexico City | 2016 A country with thousands of absences, disappearances, murders. A sculpture - monument as a homage to the missing persons of an absurd war that gets lost in the immensity of the city. Enormous plates of rusty iron that contrast with the pruned lawn and the neat space. Melancholy, loneliness and hopelessness turn into distress. A ballerina and a musician occupy the space in a search inside what it looks like an audio-visual labyrinth. |

Ruvalcaba - Denisse Cárdenas - Lourdes Roth | 7 min | Puebla, Mexico | 2015 D I A G R A M A explores the presence of the human body in movement, inside a physical space in a continuous game of time and perspective that emerge of the relation between dancer, videographer and spectator, finding in the gesture an expressive seed that, as a puzzle, is reconstructed and resignified between white and black screens. |
In contra

This fills us with fear and make us to withdraw towards ourselves, but before this uncertainty, it ends moving the desire for meeting others, the places and things that in all diversity we gasp to know and to throw ourselves this way to the delivery of what has to come. |
